Main Makecourse section for all USF Undergrads in Spring 2022: TBD
Makecourse section for non-EE USF Graduate Students in Spring 2022: TBD
Please, note that this course will be taught 'remotely' this semester, i.e. there will be no meetings in the classroom. However, students will have access to 3D printing via the College of Engineering Design for X (DFX) Makerspace and the USF Advanced Visualization Center (AVC). Prints can be submitted by emailing STL files and pickup will be done in a 'socially distanced' way, or students can have their prints mailed to them (shipping charges apply).
The Makecourse Kits will be distributed as usual by the USF IEEE Student Chapter, however in a 'socially distant' way. Kits can be ordered on line, and it is possible to have them mailed (visit https://edu.ieee.org/us-usf/kit/ for more information)

The Makecourse teaches the basic skills for engineering design projects. In 15 weeks students learn using CAD software, realizing their designs with 3D printers, building control systems using a microcontroller (Arduino), and writing code in C++. The Makecourse will be taught again in Fall 2018 (see above). All students at USF can enroll. No prerequisites! Click on the buttons below for free access to all videos and course materials. Course Kits are available at the IEEE USF Student Chapter.
The Makecourse was developed by Prof. Rudy Schlaf (Electrical Engineering) and Eric Tridas in Spring 2014 at the University of South Florida. The course is currently taught by Prof. Rudy Schlaf
