Lesson Plan: Introductory Electronics Tutorials

The Make Course is open to students from all Departments at USF. The tutorials (more are coming) below are intended to help students from non-Electrical Engineering departments with the design of electronic control systems.
There are many helpful resources on the internet to help you get going with setting up breadboarded circuits with the Arduino. A fairly comprehensive resource is Ladyada.

Tutorial 1:

Electronics 101: Resistors, Voltage Dividers and Power
Tutorial Contents:
  • Intro to the concept of voltage, current and power
  • Discussion of Ohm's and Kirchhoff's laws
  • Resistors in parallel.
  • Power dissipation and power rating of electronic components.
