Lesson Plan: Week 5

In Week 5 we will do the following (please, click on the Segment links below to access the course materials):
Segment 1:
  • Discussion of the Arduino Platform and its use to control electronic circuits.
  • Explore the use of digital pins as outputs.
  • Learn basic programming techniques.
Segment 2:
  • Learn the use of functions in Arduino sketches
  • Organize Arduino sketches with tabs
  • Use digital pins as inputs to control outputs
  • Use analog input pins

Deliverable 2:
Deliverable 2 is in lieu of a first exam. It will represent 10% of your final grade.
   -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Homework 4:
Submit a gcode file ready to print on a standard filament 3D printer featuring at least one component of your project as presented in Deliverable 2 and show it off in class.

Consider gravitational forces when you design the parts and when you place/orient them on the printer bed.

gcode files can be generated with Cura or any other slicer software for printers.

Goal: Roll up your sleeves and build your project!.

To get credit: Submit the file and show us your print ready project component(s).
