Lesson Plan: Week 5
In Week 5 we will do the following (please, click on the Segment links below to access the course materials):
Homework 4: Create a professionally looking 1 min animation in Inventor (or whatever else you are using for CAD design).
Goal: Learn how to make an animation in CAD software in anticipation of Deliverable 2. Your animation will need to show at least three parts that are moving relative to each other. Feel free to use your own makecourse project if you already have something to show off.
There must be at least two cameras, and the video must at least show two smooth transitions between cameras. As an example you could have one camera from a shallow angle and one from the top around your animated assembly. In the video the animated assembly could first shown from the top, then a transition to a rotating side view could be made and then it could transition back to the top view.
Helpful Info: Watch the videos shown under Week 3/Segment 2 (making an assembly and placing constraints) Week 4/Segment 2 (producing a video of an animated assembly using animated constraints)
To get credit: Come to class on the due date, bring your computer with your nicely rendered animation ready to be demonstrated to one of the TAs or Instructors.
