Week 7. Deliverable 3:
Deliverable 3 will count 2% towards your final grade. At this point in the course your project idea is well developed and you present your updated and finalized design proposal in another short video. This video is an updated version of your Deliverable 2 video that presents your project as you will build it.
A video needs to be submitted via Canvas in fulfillment of this deliverable:
A 3 min (not longer! - keep in mind we will enjoy many of them...;-) video that presents the design of the device featuring an animated Inventor 3D model and a description of the electronic control system that you plan to build. Make a block diagram. Explain the electronic components and talk about how they interact to provide the projected functionality of your design. All videos must use this template for the control system (replace the 'Skittles Gun' related elements with your own):

We suggest to make this video using Camtasia 2 or similar screen capture software using voice-over, while running your Inventor 3D animation on the screen etc...Make sure that the animation is done using the Inventor Studio (or similar) and not by moving parts with the mouse.
All videos must be in 1280x720 or better resolution (YouTube HD) mp4 format. The videos must be uploaded before the deadline to the corresponding Canvas Assignment. All videos must use the title template posted below at the beginning, and the author of the video must introduce him/herself at the beginning.

Use the posted examples from recent semesters (posted on Canvas in the Files section) as an inspiration. Make an effort that your videos look professional. Make sure that:
Grading:
Late submissions:
- the videos are well edited
- the camera is steady (a tripod makes a great addition to your 'maker arsenal'...)
- that there are no "messing around on the screen moments to find the right window" moments breaking the flow
- that the sound quality is good and even throughout the entire video
- you turn off fans, A/C and other background noise sources while you are recording.
- the video is shot in high-resolution
- it is well-focused (it is often best to switch the cell phone camera to focus lock to avoid constant refocusing during the shot)
- you use a uniform background
- the scene is well-lit, and that there is a good contrast between the object and the background.
Grading:
- If the video has all the content requested above you get 70 points.
- To get 100: Make a nice video! "A" stands for 'awesome'! Watch your video before uploading it to Canvas and remedy deficiencies.
Late submissions:
- Up to one hour: 10 pts penalty.
- Later than one hour: 20 pts penalty.
- Submissions later than 24 hrs will not be accepted without valid excuse (doctor's note, accident report etc...).
